Two people were killed in fiery crash involving five trucks in Mexico.

“Two people lost their lives and three more were injured in a spectacular crash that occurred yesterday afternoon on the toll road to Aguascalientes. Five fifth-wheel trucks were involved in the incident .

The head of the State Coordination of Civil Protection , Jorge Gallardo Álvarez , reported that around 5:15 p.m. , through the 911 emergency system, a report was received of an accident at kilometer 85, near the Osiris toll booth .

He explained that rescuers quickly went to the indicated location, where they found five collided trailers , three of them on fire , so they quickly began maneuvers to put out the fire and avoid a major incident . Likewise, paramedics from the Zacatecas Medical Emergency Network attended and treated the people involved , reporting that two of them no longer had vital signs , and three other injured people were transferred to a hospital in stable condition .

Gallardo Álvarez explained that the incident was related to excessive speed , failure to comply with signs and lack of expertise . An hour later, the situation was reported to be completely under control ; however, the vehicles were blocked, blocking traffic for several more hours, which caused long lines of vehicles .”
